Most ofthe Bursons in Indiana, Ohio, Colorado, and California are descendants ofGeorge and Sarah Burson---according to the books: "Burson Story" byEleanor Burson and "The History of the Burson Family" by John C. Burson.The latter describes the family lines from George and Hannah Bursonthrough George and Sarah Burson to the modern day lines.

The wife and family of a Mr. Ross, between the Oconee and Savannahrivers, in Georgia, being buried in the ruins of his house, and screamingfor help; one of his slaves who had been blown about and severely bruisedby the storm, but
providentially preferred by catching hold of a stump and holding on untilthe violence of the gust subsided, crawled to their assistance, andlabored until his power of exertion failed, and he sunk motionless on thepile of ruins and misery.
