Note:   In 1739 Joseph moved to Bucks Co., Pennsylvania at Buckingham inPlumstead Township where he resided for 12 years. His son Joseph marriedMary Shaw and accompanied his father to Virginia. On July 2, 1751,Joseph requested a certificate to Fairfax Monthly Meeting of Friends inVirginia.
Joseph Burson owned 175 acres on Catoctin Creek, bought from GeorgeFairfax, Loudoun Co., Virginia. While residing in Virginia, Joseph'syoungest son, Benjamin died. From Benjamin's will recorded October 10,1769 is read "It is further my will and desire that my father, JosephBurson, is to be maintained with food and raiment fitting for a man ofhis age and circumstance, out of the whole estate excepting what has beenbequeathed to my wife above."
